I read that this website is online help information portal, which hires freelance writers with expertise in a variety of fields and guarantees them a minimum of $675 monthly. I am into making money by writing, so this website was really worth y time.

How to Make Money Writing Online with About.com?

About.com is the web’s premiere portal for help information. There’s a big variety of topics to write about. You can write, for example, about national parks or traveling, or sports etc. This portal doesn’t have its own writers, but hires freelance writers (Guides) and pays them for adding content to About.com on special areas.
Becoming an About.com guide isn’t difficult, provided you have required skills. You simply need to have expertise in his or her field of interest. There are different topics and some of them require the person to be a journalist or professional writer. People who want to become a writer for About.com are selected by editors. If you are selected, you must go through one-month training program.
As I already mentioned, About.com guarantees the writers $675 monthly for the first 2 years and after that $500. About.com also pays its Guides according to page view growth with payment incentives. So if we plus the base salary and payment for page views, we can see that Guides get about $1,000 per month in their first two years. There’s average Guide compensation of around $2,000. For getting it writers should write a minimum of 4 articles per month with gaps no bigger than 14 days in between, plus they must write into their blog one to three times per week.
